Hi! We are in the same boat. I have been applying for jobs online and i'm not even contacted for interviews. It's almost 4 years since I graduated from nursing and did not have any experience since I graduated. Took the boards here last year and passed. I was enrolled for a nurse refresher course here in one of the community college in southeast houston but was cancelled because of not enough enrollees. That was supposed to start last february 4. They told me they will offer it again on the summer. I looked online of other places/school that offers rn refresher and found the dallas methodist. I'm considering it at first out of frustration from the class that was cancelled but i'm from southeast houston and i don't know anybody there. Were you accepted already for the course? I think you still need to apply for the course, right? You can PM me if you want.

Hi! I feel you. I'm taking mine on september 10. Graduated 4years ago. I did my best to study and will just leave all the unknowns to God. I'm exhausted already, evidenced by my worst hairloss. That's what they say stress can cause hair loss. We will pass!

Wow! You're one of a kind girl. When i was pregnant, i couldn't even get up and get something to drink for myself. Wish you luck though. Let's just hope and pray that you will not go on early labor. :)

I'm sorry for asking about the readiness test. I see you just started with kaplan. 61% is good and that is only a diagnostic test to guide you for your study plan. When is your test date?

Hi, i'm scheduled to take the test on september 10. I just want to get it over with. I have been studying for months already and delaying the test just doesn't do any good because i feel like i'm loosing what i have learned couple of months ago. Although i want to get it over with but i will of course be devastated if i fail because i'm doing good with kaplan based on my scores. But it really depends on how you're gonna do the test right? Oh well, let's wait and see. I just can't wait to sleep for one week straight after the test. Goodluck to all of us sept. takers.

Hi babywinona. Please PM me if you can. I don't know how to do it. It's ok, mistake happened for us to learn lesson from it. Learn from it and move on, which you are. I'm balancing my time between reading kaplan course book for content and answering questions. It's exhausting because i have a baby to take care off and she just learned how to walk. She is all over the place so i can't really sit down and sit for long to study during the day. But you know what, we can do this. If others can why can't we. We just need to remember to put God in the center in everything we do and the saying "No Pain No Gain"

noemark, I think you are doing good but just keep reviewing though it will improve. we can do it noemark. english is not my first language too and i do agree its hard. not only that I get headache from all these studying, I'm also experiencing the worst hairloss i have ever experienced in my entire life probably due to the stress. When i'm about to give up, I think of those quotes like " No pain no gain", " No matter how hard it is never give up" and i think of all those beautiful shoes I can buy when I'm already working as an RN...lol

thanks babywinona. When is your test date? I have exhausted all the questions too but i just went back and review all of it. I'm waiting for my PDA book to arrive, they said it's very helpful. And now i'm planning to get the NCSBN subscription for 3 weeks...lol I don't know what to do anymore. What were your kaplan scores initially when you first took the test back in April, if you don't mind telling.

I don't have funds anymore for NCSBN...:) And I'm so exhausted already from all these studying. But i heard NCSBN is good too.

I have been studying for a while now and took q6 & q7 but it seems that my scores are not improving. I'm getting scarier everyday to the point that i wanna go somewhere in an open field where nobody is there and just scream to the top of my lungs to relieve my anxiety. Q1 - 73 Q2 - 65 Q3 - 69 Q4 - 71 Q5 - 73 Q6 - 68 Q7 - 66

Hey guys! I haven't scheduled the date of my test yet because I feel like there are still lots of materials i need to cover such as saunders book. I'm a foreign graduate and have been out of school for about 4 years already. It seems that most of the people here have taken the test already, i'm just gonna ask what the actual nclex is like? Is it like kaplan, saunders, or nclex 4000? What do you guys recommend to focus on, content or answering questions? Here's my practice test results so far: Diagnostic test - 72 Readiness test - 66 Q1 - 73 Q2 - 65 Q3 - 69 Q4 - 71 Q5 - 73 Q6 - reserve for later Q7 - reserve for later QB 58% - 62ave. NCLEX 4000 (safe and effective care ) - 71 NCLEX 4000 (Health & Promo. maintenance ) - 75 Base on my scores above, do you guys think i should go ahead finalize the date? I am just so scared.
