About Kris Harty

Kris Harty specializes in Insight from the patient perspective.

The Short Chick with the Walking Stick! I've had 30 years of experience in the healthcare field - on the receiving end as a lifelong patient. At age seven, I was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. Life was depressing for most of my childhood. Nurses provided a safe place when the rest of the world was not always kind. They have positively impacted me throughout life. In 2011, I decided it was time to give back. I published my first book: A Shot in the Arm and A Strong Spirt - How Healthcare Providers Help Patients Persevere. Nurses are especially highlighted heroes. Thank YOU!

personal preference. i think we can all respect that. :) please don't let the song take away from the intent of the message, though - as your own patients would no doubt gratefully echo the sentiment that you've made a difference to them.

beautifully said! i love that the ads impact how your kids look at you, if only for a moment. in this jaded, negative world, it's that 'glimpse of humanity' that goes 'through the hard walls of our hearts' and sheds light on what matters. it touches ...
