  1. I know, everyone seems so freaked out and then does well. I was just worried if I was taking on too much by adding the 10 week vocational course to my college course schedule.
  2. Thank you MusicEMT! Where did you take the course if you don't mind me asking? Mission College in Sylmar offers it on Saturdays for 10 weeks, so that's right in the middle of the semester, so I think it could work. English is a snap, Math I have to work out which is why I signed up for tutoring, and Micro 20 and lab prep. I have 3 kids and 3 dogs, but I am not working and I need a job by June, which is why I think this is a good opportunity. I am also a Clinical Care Volunteer, so that may help me land a job, not to mention I have friends in other hospitals. Foot in the door, that's what it's about!
  3. Hi, I just wanted to get some advice. I am currently taking Micro, English 101, and pre-algebra. I would like to take a 10 week course offered every Saturday for EKG tech. Is it too much or is it a good idea? I am looking to go back to work in June, and this looks like a good opportunity. I am a care extender volunteer at St. John's hospital, and I believe that all of this would help me get a job as a unit clerk/monitor tech. Thanks!
  4. Speech and life span are both accelerated courses broken up in one semester, and I am confident I will do well. I was just thinking about taking a full semester math course in the Spring while I take anatomy. I am sure I will be stuck in the math lab. My problem is, is that I just don't get it.
  5. What about becoming a CNA/HHA while taking pre-reqs and while in nursing school? Also, I am terrible at math! How do I do well in math? I am hoping that by getting CNA certified, it will help me while I am taking my sciences. I am currently getting all my GE's out of the way. This fall I am taking a CNA course, speech, and life-span. (life-span) I am obviously not working this fall. ;-)
