I second Student in that it was awesome finally getting to meet you guys!! I ended up switching my schedule for this one- M/W- 10:00-11:50 AM- Theory W- 1:30-4:30 PM- Skills Lab T/TH- 1:00-7:00 PM- North Hills Hospital

Sooo, I just called the nursing department to see if they had an idea of when potential candidates would be notified. The woman I spoke to said they would have a decision made by November 15, and that they would start sending out letters immediately ...

My science GPA is a 3.75 and I made a 94% on the HESI with an A in all the sections. If I don't get in this time around, I am going to retake chemistry next semester. I really like Student's rationale for scoring, it certainly makes a lot of sense. ...

I think there is a discrepancy in scores because the evolve website only averages HESI scores from tests that were taken at TCC, but you don't have to take your test at TCC to apply. As long as they were taken after January 2010 you can submit them.

txhusker- A 92 is a fabulous score!!! Someone mentioned that the average is a 77, you are leagues above the average score :)

Aw I wish I would have known that we were penalized for going over a certain amount of time while taking the test. It took me about 2 1/2 hrs to complete my test but I triple checked a lot of my answers...

Because I had completed a transcript evaluation... the advisor didn't need my transcripts, she gave them back to me. Soooo if you've already completed a transcript evaluation you shouldn't need to submit your transcripts to the nursing department.

Welcome ajkstief! I thought the vocab portion was the most difficult as well.

TX Husker- Nobody thinks you're a chronic complainer- we're all just nervous! And yes... I definitely think we'll all deserve a celebratory drink if we all get in :cheers:

TX Husker- I wouldn't worry about it. As other people have pointed out, it's not the advisor that decides whether we get in or not. I'm sure your transcript is just fine, I think we're all a little bit on edge as we wait to hear a decision.
