Just contacted ---- and found out that the 3 weeks only applies if you are getting your physical exam/immunizations through the school. If you are getting all that stuff through your own doctor you don't have to worry about waiting 3 weeks.

I believe that was referring to the nursing program orientation, which should be held sometimes towards the end of August.

If you're a transfer student it might be a good idea to attend the transfer student orientation so you get a feel for the campus... it will be a lot different from the nursing orientation (which is mandatory).
