  1. I have been an RN, BSN for over 20 years. I have never worked in corrections but due to a move that will place me close to a FCI in Cumberland, MD I am interested in a new career path. Is there an age limit for applicants with the BOP? I am 47 but in excellent health. Also, is it hard to get an interview/job with them? Thanks
  2. I am not able to send PMs. Only have 7 post.
  3. Yes, I would love to send you my resume. Thanks so much!
  4. Thanks, I appreciate any help I can get!
  5. Did you get the job at Shands? Shands is my first choice for a job (then Wolfsons and Baptist South. I have lots of OB/NICU experience and some telemetry. So I have applied for 15 positions in NICU, MB, and some other areas like pre admission testing, special procedures, endo etc... I am willing to try something new. Outside of the hospital, I would love a position at North Florida OBGYN. Maybe I should have someone look at my resume. This is the first one I have had to make in 16 yrs. Maybe it isnt up to par. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.
  6. Goodluck getting a job in Jacksonville. I moved here 5 months ago and have applied at 5 different hospitals, without getting even one interview. I have my BSN and 16 years of hospital experience. I think there are so few jobs that you have to know someone. We bought a house in the Mandarin area and love our neighborhood.
  7. I just moved from a small town in West Virginia to Jacksonville, Fl. I worked at the same hospital for 15 years. When I left I was making $32/hr with full benefits (plus bonus and shift diff). Our health insurance was free. It was a union hospital and I think that helped keep our pay and benefits up. I knew I would take a pay cut moving to FL, but this is rediculous! Are these low wages typical for all of FL or just Jax? Other than pay, how do you like working for Maxim?
  8. wow that is very low. shands pays $35/hour prn pay, according to their website. Baptist South pays $25/per hour prn. I thought that was bad. thanks!
  9. Does anyone know what the prn hourly rate is for RN's at St Vincents in Jacksonville, FL? I am interested in a postpartum job there. Just moved to area would appreciate any info. Thanks:nurse:
