  1. Hey all, I am a FNP with experience in urgent care. Emergency medicine and adolescent health. I took the last few years off for personal reasons and am looking forward to getting back to work. I always wanted to specialize and become an “expert” in a field. I was thinking of wound care or diabetes. Would the best route to specialization be getting a certificate in wound care or diabetes? Still in the contemplation phase. Any recommendation? Advice? I feel like my resume will automatically be passed on based on my experience. TIA
  2. Hi all, As a family nurse practitioner, how would I become a women’s health NP? I’ve looked online and haven’t seen any such programs. I’ve practiced primary care for adolescents for the past few years but have grown to love the GYN aspect of it. I wanted to work more on the OB/GYN world but feel like I need to become a WHNP. Any advice? Thanks!
  3. Thank you!! That's true, it's all about the persona first right? LoL! I'll be downloading lots of applications on my phone too!.. and congrats dbb on graduating!!!!!!
  4. Hi all, I am a new FNP, I graduated back in December. In a couple of weeks, I'm starting my first job as a NP at an urgent care center. Any advice or tips for this nervous np? I have all these emotions (anxious, excited) going in my head and bc I graduated almost 8 months ago, I feel like I will be rusty in the outpt setting. I started reviewing all my books again, but there's obviously too much to look over. lol. Thanks!!
  5. I'm in the same boat. However, I've been using monster and indeed.com. What other search engines are out there for NPs or health care providers? I know the 2 i'm using are not really geared towards those in our field. Thanks!
