    unfortunately, I do agree...Call me unrealistic...but I just hope that people keep joining nursing for the fact that they want to "make a difference" and of course the ones that join for other reasons...

    did you miss the lectures on the psychosocial/emotional aspect of human beings...i'm not saying you need to make best friends with all your patients, but come on...you make it sound like your going in...

    :) You CAN do it...and people like you, that really want to help, make the most valuable nurses...anyone can give out meds etc...it's the nurses that take the extra two minutes to hold someone's hand...
