Teaching... maybe, but not nursing. Why teach something you don't want to do? You would only pass that feeling on to your students. You might be able to do something in hospital administration. Getting a cross degree with your BSN should be doable...
If you dont have a lot of ties or reasons to stay where you are, then I would start looking in other areas/states. There are jobs out there! But you might have to relocate to get a good one.
If you're willing to move then thats great! Rural areas need nurses... though you may need experience first. New Mexico is a good place to look. They pay isn't top of the line - but if gaining experience is your first goal then you will probably be ...

What kind of camp is this? Just curious. When I worked at a Boy Scout camp (volunteer) I found the meals to be pretty well balanced. And they offered subsitutes for people with allergies. There was also PB&J as standard back up if needed. Th...

Had patient bring her own sheets because she was "violently allergic to chlorine" and we coudn't provide enough evidence that the hospital didn't use it in the laundry process. btw... she was having day surgery
That does sound exceedingly high - is that counting living away at school vs home? For that kind of money she could even be considering out of state schools where the waiting list is shorter and the costs lower. A note on LPN/LVN programs.... I don't...
You can do what my friend did - she called around and asked. She was wondering about this issue as well... and surely does not want to start a program that she might not be able to finish. You can find the basic parameters for the clinical on their ...

Is there an issue with cost? Each program has its merits. Yes, you can get a two year degree and still be an RN. But there are more important questions... like what does she want to do as a nurse? does she want to specialize, manage, teach...... ...

I think I'm going to try to call UofW this week and get some more info. The tuition is one of the best... but I wonder about various fees. Anyone know what their classes are like? Lots of papers, projects, tests... or? I'm hoping to settle on a pro...
I am also looking into online only RN to BSN and would like some info from people who are currently attending or recently attended/gradutated a program. I got a really hard sell from University of Illinois - kind of turned me off of them. Utica seems...
I hate the paper things we have at work :wink2: I'm looking for a good pattern to make a bouffant style hat that ties. Elastic and I don't get along. Band or no band - either is fine. Any suggestions on where I can get my hands on such an animal?
I've posted this in specialties under OR - but I thought I'd try in the General forum too for a broader audience... thanks ************ Hi everyone... I am looking for specific research on thigh high vs knee high Sequential Compression Devices (SCD's...

OMG this is too funny. I was just telling my hubby about this (again). He always looks at me like I'm weird. But one look at some of the gross stuff I've excavated from belly buttons and he'd understand.
I'm with ya sister! lol Seriously, its MY liscense on the line. I don't ask the techs I work with to set up their equipment in "my" way... but I do insist that things be done properly - including counts. Frustrates the hell out of a couple of docs....
