We have LVNs on our unit but they don't take active laboring pts. They can do inductions before they become active, mag holds, pretermers etc.

Ours comes mixed already but sometimes if we are in a rush and we run out of room temp bags we have to mix it ourselves.

Yeah I guess anything can happen, but I know that they didn't change the 3 year program when they made the change to accelerated. Hopefully they will do the same and you won't have to stay an extra year.
