Well i dont pray because last time i did things did not turn out good for a family member but i wish her the best i really hope she recovers and gets well soon.

This is sad poor girl i could not imagine living without pain. Without pain your basically not a real human how is she gonna tell if she has a pain in her chest and it turns out to be breast cancer and its too late to do anything about it.

That one comment about the 16 year olds pubic hair was really bad yeah i get the guy is in his mid 20's but thats the sort of thing a rapist or pedophile would say. You should tell him not say things like that at work because if a girl hears him say that crap he is gonna be in huge trouble or he might isolate all the staff from him.

I noticed alot of you are voting for Bush because you guys are scared of terrorism and you think Bush is doing a great job fighting terrorism. So if 9/11 never happened would you still voted for Bush?

Well im not a RN yet but i wanna help people and also i cant think of another job where most of my coworkers are females.

I think self defense classes for nurses is a great idea the only problem i see is if a patient hits me or a extremely violent person that patient is gonna end up alot worse then they were before. But yes nurses should take self defense classes they should prepare for the worst thats pretty sad though a nurse having to take a self defense class just for trying to do thier job by helping a patient.

I had a horrible nightmare last night the nightmare was about the election and it was a virtual tie except for one state yep Florida Bush ended up winning in a landslide in florida what a scary dream i think Bush is gonna win sorry democrats i really would love to see both Bush and Kerry lose too bad its a two party system.

I drink 4 beers every day i dont think its doing my liver damage i drink alot of water aswell my dad used to drink alot he quit now and he doesnt seem to have a liver problem even though he has drank hard liquor for most all his life i must of told him to quit like a 100 times but he didnt he only quit because he slipped and hurt his back while he was drunk hopefully something that serious doesnt happen to your mom you can tell her all you want that you want her to quit but it has too come from her sorry i cant really give you any real solution too your moms drinking problem i guess all you can really do is talk to her and pray.

Doctors dont care and i dont blame them if they would invest their emotion on every patient they wouldnt last long as Doctors its a business and thats how they see it patients are customers to them. Its a bit different with RN's nurses they dont tell patients they have aids or cancer. Doctors are more hands on to patient care they can do more to help a patient then a Nurse can so they have more of a burden.

Im not a RN but im gonna be one i like bashing some RN's like the lazy stuckup ones but i know a few real quality RN's and they have my respect i wouldnt dare bash them their almost like Aunts to me. I understand where your coming from but RN's bash each other as well its not just MD's,CNA's who bash them.

So true about the crappy attitude of the RN's and MD's i hate around 90% of the staff at my hospital i dont make eye contact or talk to the 90% when they tell me to do something i dont even acknowledge them i just give them a blank stare they wish they could fire me but im a volunteer.:chuckle

I noticed younger female patients tend to curse more dont know why.

I voted no i feel kind of crappy for doing that but the bottom line is i would rather have a american working in my country then someone thats not a american. Feel bad for the other nurses from other countries who are in bad situations in their countries but im always gonna take a american over a non american.

What wrong with criticizing doctors they usually blame a Nurse for everything.

What do you expect it's a show thats why i stopped watchhing that show awhile ago because its the nurses are always made too look like the lackeys and the the MD's are always made to look like their the only ones really helping people. That show is nothing like the real ER.

Depends what state you in if your in a area where their is spanish speaking people then you should learn spanish it wont hurt you to learn another language besides knowing alot languages is cool.

Ok thanks for explaining your situation better yes if the volunteer has no desire in being in healthcare he has no business being their im a Volunteer and i do want to be a RN and do occasionaly help Rns with patients in the ER especially the Psyche patients so i do understand your problem with a Volunteer that has zero interest in Nursing.

What is wrong with you? Have you ever considered that maybe the volunteer wants to become a RN like you and just wants to know what to expect to do in the future. If the patient ok's the volunteer being their which is the most important thing not what you think. Why do you care if a volunteer is their. Oh and on being put on the spot thats why you ask permission first when the volunteer is not present so you dont have to put them on the spot.

Why do you think their is such a lack of nurses. Look its very tough being a Nurse you gotta take so much crap and get very little respect in return but thats what Nursing is deal with it. Nurses are a special breed few can take the stuff nurses deal with on a regular basis thats why Nurses are essentail their the backbone of the hospital remember that just hang in their dont let some worthless doctors bring you down just keep your head up the patients need good nurses like you even though those [TOS violation] rarely appreciate your care.
