where can i find info regarding meds and drugs for pain management, or some kind of a "comparative info" ,for example: 1)for narcs, which are the mildest to the strongest, which is appropriate for which patient., 2)and other pain meds that are not considered narcs like tramadol, ultracet. Thanks
  4. MY doctor told me that fish oils will not really lower my triglycerides but it will help (at least to a certain degree ) Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated. There are tons of different brands out there, and i dont know which one is better or which is the best one to buy.

Why is it that I always read or hear that one can be called in to court for a lawsuit because of negligence/malpractice,etc that has happened like 2 or 3 years ago? Why that long? Is it because this negligence/malpractice, etc that happened 2 or 3 years ago went unnoticed and was just recently discovered (example:from records) and the "offended party" decided to file a complaint/sue after the recent discovery? Or.... Was the complaint/lawsuit filed right away, but it takes years for it get "processed". So the subpoena doesnt come until years later. I havent been in this country too long, and im still ignorant in this aspects. Thanks for any information
  6. I just happened to mention this to 2 co-workers the other day, and this "suing" thing came up (from both of them). So, it just got me thinking. But, I wasn't really planning on suing them, like what i said, this happened a year ago. I let it go and was thankful. Thanks guys.
  7. You guys are absolutely right.
  8. Last year (Feb 2003), i was misdiagnosed to have Hep C. A week after, I had the test repeated 2 times in a different hospital and it came out negative. Someone told me that i should have sued the hospital for emotional torment. Is it too late? I guess. Just want your input guys. Thanks.
  9. Thanks Cammie for your reply. I did document the incident in the resident's chart, informed the MD and the next of kin, received orders for temporarily downgrading the diet until swallowing eval is done. But according to one nurse, I didnt have to write/do an "Incident Report". Was i being overzealous in making this "Incident Report"? According to her the "Incident Report" is only for : Falls, Skin Tears, Bruises.

Does a choking incident need an incident report ? (Sounds like a dumb question, but...)
