Thanks for the advice! I'm already at a level one trauma hospital. I hope that's true for me about not paying for the TNCC. If not, I don't mind out of pocket as I would like to work the trauma bay someday in the future.

This is a really good informative thread. Even though I'm not ready to buy a home yet, this information is great advice to keep in mind!!!!

If I could go back, I would have use that time to relax and have fun. Spend time with friends/family. Exercise. Maybe even travel. Once school starts, those things listed are a luxury to achieve at times.

I feel ya about breakfast! Breakfast is more of a luxury for me now. It never seems like I have time for a decent breakfast with coming in so early in the morning. It's usually a bar of some sort until lunch. Bad habit I'm trying to break.

How's it going guys?!?! Finished my first week. Lots of stuff, but it'll be okay. I also like to do things on my own time, so I'm using this weekend to read over a few chapters and really get these instruments down.

Back when I was a CNA on a med/surg floor, my manager signed off on a schedule where one night there were only 3 RN scheduled for a 40 something bed floor that was constantly full/receiving the most admits!

I started this thread about 4 years ago. Makes me smile that it's still going :)

From the threads I've seen on this site, it bothers me that some programs do not provide preceptors. What happens if you are unable to find one in time? Do you get a refund?
