  1. I don't know if it was me you were referring to, but I did send in my decline email this morning. Hopefully, one of the waitlisted people will get a call! Good luck to you all!
  2. Thanks! Actually, I only have 2 to choose from, UNF and JU. My other acceptance was last year up in GA but my son was due about a week before classes were starting. Needless to say, I had to decline. Plus then we moved here so it all worked out. Yes, that was me with the heels I am trying to decide between JU and UNF, but it will more than likely be UNF due to the cost of JU. Both sound like great programs but I don't think I can stomach almost 50k for a bachelor's degree. I am so glad you got in too! It will be nice to already "know" someone:)
  3. He said letters were going out in the mail yesterday and today, but wanted to call as well. It was a voicemail. Thanks!!! Hope everyone else hears today as well!
  4. Calls are going out this morning! I just got one and was accepted to the second degree program!
  5. biomimetical- I was in the 9:30 group 4 and was also accepted into accelerated! What is your first name (I am hoping I remember everyone's)! So glad you got in too! I thought everyone in our group did very well!!
  6. Congrats HM2Doc!!! I got my acceptance letter as well!! I am so excited!!! Hopefully everyone else will get theirs tomorrow
  7. I had an email today stating they should be sending out letters by the end of next week. Looks like the waiting continues....
  8. Wow!! How did you find that out?
  9. I, too, check the mail religiously! The waiting is the hardest part! Hopefully they will let us know soon. I looked back at posts from last year and it looked like people got their letters around the 17th-18th of March...Let's hope that is the case for us too! Fingers crossed :-)
  10. I was in the 930 group. I felt much better about this interview than I did others, for sure. Perhaps it was the atmosphere and getting to talk with other applicants as well as current students. My group was awesome, everyone did really well. I walked out of there feeling like I did the best I could do in expressing my desire to become a nurse, and especially a UNF Nursing student. Hopefully, it came across to the interviewers. I will say, I am happy this process is finally coming to a close. All of this waiting is slowly killing me :) Good luck to everyone! I wish we could all get accepted!
  11. I did get my letter - wahoo! 9:30am! Money- that is what it is all about! I will actually be paying out of state for the first semester (moved to FL in September) - boo! It sounds like you are highly qualified and will probably get your pick of schools - which is awesome! You will get your letter tomorrow!! Let us know what time you are interviewing!
  12. I live in Jax, and the mail is very hit or miss around here Good for you - Congrats!! I won't hear on my other until March, so I am still waiting... this is the hardest part! What will be your determining factor on where you decide to attend?
  13. UGH! Why does my mailman have to come so late! I am dying! Based on the numbers you all have said, I should have an invite, but I won't relax until I see it for sure. Congrats to all of you who got one!!! That is a HUGE accomplishment in itself!
  14. Yay!!! Congrats to you!!! My mailman doesn't come until 3-3:30...it is KILLING me!!
  15. biomimetical- I would just email her. I looked all through my info and previous emails from her and can't find a number. I think she prefers email anyway. Good luck getting it cleared up!
  16. Good Luck SarahBanana! They try to make you feel relaxed - I'm sure you will do well. It sure would be nice if we could all get in!
  17. Everyone that was there with me was a 2nd degree applicant, so I think you are right. Based on what I was told, there are more seats for the 2nd degrees, so I wonder if that is why we go first. Who knows?! I am applying to UNF and FSCJ as well. The competition seems to be pretty tough, so I didn't want to rely on only one program;). Good luck with your interview!
  18. How would they know if they are not going to interview? Does someone call and let them know? I am doing 2nd degree and I am not sure how many seats they are looking to fill. I did get an email to interview next week. Hopefully you all will hear something soon as well!
  19. My email stated that everything had been received and that they would begin conducting interviews in January and continue until the end of February. When you are asked to interview has no bearing on your "rank" or anything. It is totally random from what I can tell. It is stressful, but hang in there! You still have plenty of time to hear something. I keep telling myself that as well
  20. I didn't realize FSCJ took students based on location. That is interesting! I can't afford JU either (my husband is still wondering why I even applied), but I hear there is scholarship money out there - who knows?! FSCJ is kind of my last resort because I, like you, don't want to have to go back for the RN to BSN bridge. I guess I will just have to wait and see, and it is KILLING me!
  21. FLHusker -I have two small kids at home too. I have applied to the accelerated only, but I read somewhere on here you could get offered a seat in the traditional instead. I am not sure though. I have a 3.6 Pre-Req GPA (thanks to a C in Stats YEARS ago) and a 357 (88%) TEAS V score. After reading some of these posts, I am a little concerned I do not have enough to get an interview! I have applied to JU and will be applying to FSCJ as well. Since they don't accept the TEAS, I am scheduled to take the NAT next Friday. I am not excited about taking another test, but I need to keep my options open as it seems all of the schools are super-competitive. Best of luck to everyone!!
  22. Thanks for all of the information! I was pleasantly surprised with my TEAS score, so hopefully I will get invited to interview. I wish my GPA was a little higher (3.4 undergrad BBA, 3.6 pre-reqs), but the more hours you have, the less it moves in any direction! What was the timeframe from the application deadline to getting an interview invite? I am expecting it to be several months!
  23. This was very helpful! Thanks! I took the TEAS this morning and am feeling OK about it. I thought if I had an idea as to what they were looking for in order to get asked to interview, it would make me feel a little better!
  24. Thanks so much! I really appreciate it.
  25. Hi! Would anyone who has been accepted to the Kennesaw Accelerated BSN be willing to share their GPA and TEAS Score? I am applying for Fall 2010 and am a little worried about what I need to be competitive. Thanks!
