ms_sealy - I got a letter in the mail on Thursday from UTMB and they rejected me. I am making plans to apply again and take nurse entrance exams. However, I am also planning to find other avenues into the field. Maybe get my bachelors in Psychology and do fast track or apply to medical schools. Who knows where I will end up from here.

i finally got my answer guys. your application was reviewed; however, you were not selected for an interview. if you wish to apply for the fall 2010, you will have to reapply. you may check with enrollment services concerning the resubmission of documents.

If you are already accepted at UT-HSC and that is where you really want to be, then I would stick with where I am gauranteed a spot. Nothing can go wrong if you are already accepted at UT-HSC unless your background came back questionable. If you would have stated that UTMB was your first choice then I would encourage you to go forward. Maybe your heart and place is at UT-HSC. Good luck and don't doubt your decision.

jazzy - i agree with you. you should not put all your eggs in one basket and i would definitely prepare myself for pv especially since it is a done deal. i have yet to get a response to e-mails sent to them and i called this morning and they were closed. i just wanted to know what the procedures were for re-applying if it is a "denial". i will be applying to pv next time since your stats are similar to mine. it is first come first serve and my aunt got her first degree in engineering there. she wants me to apply to pv and my mother got her bsn from utmb so i was trying to follow in her footsteps. i am not feeling down but hopeful and i will not give up. i am enjoying the moment's right along with you all who have been accepted and have interviews.

I spoke to "D" who transfered me to someone who coordinates the interviews. I called back to speak to someone who could tell me my application status who was a woman but I didn't ask either of the two ladies their names. She did say that they had a few sluggars who were still reviewing applicants. They won't be having any other interviews after this Fridays.

I just got off the phone with UTMB and spoke to one of the coordinators for the interviews. She said that all of the e-mails have pretty much been sent out.

yes.... we so need to celebrate. i'm with you jazzy and thanks for the inspiration. i will keep pushing for my dream and eventually live it. i do believe in waiting on the lord his time is not the same as ours. i am enjoying the responses and just overall excited for everyone getting interviews and acceptances.

So if everyone has been put into the generic, then how many people are in the Bacc2 on here? Seems like they are filling up the Generic spots pretty fast. Maybe its just me being paranoid :uhoh21:.

kgle - I will post a link to te Texas BON site. It is competitve and we have tons of schools here in the Houston and surrounding areas. It is not too difficult to get accepted but I would suggest applying to more than one school. There are ADN and BSN programs along with many graduate schools. We have medical centers so you would be making a wise choice to attend school here in Texas.

I can understand e-mails wil go out today and tomorrow. I just find it a bit odd that only 1 person got an e-mail today. Usually a few lurkers would have came on and given us a heads up.

i don't know guys this is getting to be nerve wrecking! i am just waiting to see what she says. this is torturous. i wonder if they prolong the interview process to give other schools time to report that they are done with the acceptance and denial process. maybe to make sure that the people they accept don't withdraw last minute to attend another school. idk just sitting over here thinking of what the problem is. :thnkg:
