  1. Hi everyone, I'm wondering if anyone knows of any schools around Albuquerque that are offering A&P II and lab this summer that have yet to start? I know CNM's has already started...I'm wondering if anyone offers this course with a later summer start date or during the second summer session. I would also be interested in an online course, if it had a lab component. Thanks!
  2. curiosity123.. Sorry but I did take some offense at the tone of your last message - it came off rather condescending. The point of this thread was programs that do NOT require letters of recommendation...so there really is no need for you to state that "Really, it should not be that hard to get a couple letters of recommendation" Further, in terms of what you said towards mell260 about "how many do you need?" in terms of replies, well...usually the more the better! If you started a thread I certainly wouldn't be like "really, how much more advice do you need?" Just saying...
  3. Hey! I am thinking about applying to UNM, depending on how things with other schools work out. I recently moved to ABQ from Wisconsin, and have been taking science pre-reqs (already have my Bachelor's in Psychology). Are you thinking of applying to the program? What have you heard about it? I was surprised at how many pre-reqs they require (like pharmacology, patho 1 and 2). Theoretically I could be ready to start nursing school Summer of Fall 2010, depending on the school's requirements, but for UNM I would not be ready until Spring 2011, and I'm not sure I want to wait that long. I am keeping my options open and will probably apply to different schools across the U.S., although I would prefer to stay here as I know people. It gets so confusing! What are your plans? If you search these forums there are quite a few other topics on UNM.
  4. Thanks, I'll definitely check out Colorado and Arizona. In the meantime, I'm still trying to find more school that don't require letters of recommendation..it just takes alot of time though!
  5. Thanks I will check into these. Any other options anyone knows of? Thanks!
  6. Thanks for the suggestions guys! Does anyone have any others that they know of? Thanks so much!
  7. Hi everyone, I'm wondering if anyone knows of any accelerated second degree BSN programs that don't require letters of reference? I'm aware that most do, but if there are any that don't I'd like to look at them and possibly get a head start on applying as I'm going to be waiting a few weeks for my professors to get their letters done. I know that UNC Chapel Hill doesn't require or accept letters, but I think they might be a little too competitive as they're one of the topped ranked schools :) Thanks for your help! Kara
  8. Hello Everyone! I was wondering if anyone could help me. I am taking prerequisites with the goal of applying to an accelerated BSN, but I need to have Human Anatomy and Physiology I and II completed by the end of January 2010. I am wondering if anyone knows of any schools in South Dakota or nearby areas (college, university, community college, or any) that offer Anatomy I and II where the sequence can be done in one semester as opposed to the usual 2 semesters. Thanks so much!!
