   sounds like twin transfusion syndrome (if it's not superfecundation, which according to my understanding, is much less common), to me, but since i know relatively little about ob by comparison to the nurses on here, i couldn't be positive with that.

   my heavens. i am so sorry. my thoughts and prayers go out to you and this family. when i was six, an aunt of mine died in childbirth as well (baby too). it's just something you don't hear of often, and when it happens, it's such a dramatic shock.

    i've seen the d/c papers from when my mom had me (almost 17 yrs ago) and, as someone before said (forgive me-i don't know names), they told her nothing vaginally until her pp checkup.
