  1. Need a non-certified private loan ASAP

I need to find a good lender from which to get a private loan that doesn't need to be certified by my school. Any suggestions? I've been googling all of the net and it's all starting to run together... Here's my problem... I have a financial aid pack...
  2. Need a non-certified private loan ASAP

I never got a private loan--couldn't find/qualify for one. I ended up squeezing the absolute essentials onto credit cards and paying it back and getting everything else when my refund came. My schools seems to process them pretty quickly so it worked...
  3. La Salle ACHIEVE program acceptance!

Enjoy and take some time for yourself now because once you start it will be one helluva ride!
  4. La Salle ACHIEVE program acceptance!

Yeah, spring cohort always starts at Bucks. That's also where people go if they fail something and need to take it over, since Bucks is always about to take what we just took.
  5. La Salle ACHIEVE program acceptance!

Ah yes, the "intending nursing"...I was one of those at first lol. This is what they call you while you're finishing your prereqs. They can't officially accept you to the major (though you are accepted to the school in general) until you have 60+ cre...
  6. Mnemonics and Memory Aids

My personal favorite (and it might have already been listed) is the side effects of anticholinergics: Can't see (blurred vision), can't pee (urinary retention), can't spit (dry mouth), can't sh*t (constipation)
  7. La Salle ACHIEVE program acceptance!

No problem--they're always interesting to look at. The 2010 ones should be out sometime after September... Honestly, I couldn't tell you how many hours I study as it varies--by class, by professor, by semester, by how much time before the next exam ...
  8. La Salle ACHIEVE program acceptance!

I think the program is fine--with any program, you get out of it what you put into it. Some people think because they were able to fly right through the prereqs that they don't have to study or apply themselves but that's not so true in nursing schoo...
  9. La Salle ACHIEVE program acceptance!

Congrats on your acceptance! Drexel is sooo expensive--and it's not really conducive to if you still need to work or have other responsibilities (kids/family etc.). You can't really work in those accelerated programs. Temple, on the other hand, is mo...
  10. La Salle University's Achieve program Fall 2011?

  11. La Salle University's Achieve program Fall 2011?

I would apply now...that way your already in the queue. Also, it'll help for them to look at your transcripts and tell you which courses they'll definitely accept for transfer and what you still need etc. Good luck!
  12. La Salle University's Achieve program Fall 2011?

It's totally doable. I attend the ACHIEVE program, still work full-time, and have three children. Definitely not easy, but not impossible either. Good luck!
  13. LaSalle University Achieve Program

The current cost of the entire ACHIEVE program is $25,300, however tuition just went up to $500/credit so I'm not sure if that figure is updated. Also, make sure to plan for other expenses such as parking, background checks, the list goes on. I'll be...
  14. CHOP externship

I'm sorry to hear that--keep trying! If you go to my allnurses profile and check out my homepage--I just posted a list from UPenn with a whole lot of nurse extern programs. Good luck to you!
  15. CHOP externship

Hey there. The interviews for CHOP's 2010 Nurse Extern program are March 5th and March 19th (I'm scheduled for March 5th :w00t:). Give them a call just to double-check. From what I've heard b/c of the economy they've cut the number of slots by like h...
  16. LaSalle Achieve Program

I'm about to start my second semester at La Salle (in the ACHIEVE program)...trust me...enjoy your prereqs...because once u get here...:sstrs:
  17. NLN Exam for La Salle now?

Is taking the NLN a new requirement for admission to La Salle's nursing program? I don't remember it being listed on their site (and still don't see it, but I don't have my glasses on )... But I was accepted into "Intending Nursing" last year to fini...
  18. NLN Exam for La Salle now?

  19. Abington Dixon SON Interview

    Good luck!! :)
  20. Abington Dixon SON Interview

Hey there, Maybe I can help as I've been in your situation. Abington didn't waitlist me persay, but ppl that have actually finished their prereqs get first dibs. They wouldn't even waitlist you if you didn't have a shot--it's just that they like to s...
  21. What are some cool nursing shoes?

I keep hearing about these shoes so I picked up a pair off eBay for $30!! Slipped them on and they felt like heaven on earth!! Can't wait to try them out at my first clinicals in a few weeks!!
  22. Abington Dixon SON : Waiting for my letter

That's what I didn't like about some of the other programs like penn and drexel--the nursing course are spread out over the whole four/five years. Whereas with Jeff, LSU, etc. I get all the general ed out of the way and can just do straight nursing s...
  23. Abington Dixon SON : Waiting for my letter

See with me, I tried it when I was younger, but the time wasn't right--I wasn't ready. I had too much going on, that was when my daughter was being diagnosed with autism...I was going to Temple and my grades sucked. I just went back to school in 2007...
  24. What are some cool nursing shoes?

    I just picked up some Dansko's on ebay...$125 retail...I paid $30.99 plus shipping...now that's shoes on a nursing student's budget!
  25. Abington Dixon SON : Waiting for my letter

From the research that I've been doing, one isn't better than the other. In fact, it seems that many schools are switching over to CCNE. CCNE only accredits BSN and above programs, that's why you won't see that accreditation at diploma or ADN schools...
