NLN Exam for La Salle now?

Is taking the NLN a new requirement for admission to La Salle's nursing program? I don't remember it being listed on their site (and still don't see it, but I don't have my glasses on :bugeyes:)...

But I was accepted into "Intending Nursing" last year to finish up my prereqs...just thought automatically I'd just start this upcoming fall since I'm clearly gonna be done with those. But now I just got a letter saying I have to come in for an interview and I'm required to take the NLN and my scores will be factored into whether I get a spot or not...and that basically satisfying all of these requirements still does not guarantee me admission...

Sheesh...I'm glad I got a back up plan...

What's the deal? Are they just looking for ways to weed people out or what??

This year only the NLN is being required but not as a requirement to get into the program. They needed people to take it this year so they could make it mandatory next year and have this year's scores to compare to next year's score.

This year when you take it, it will not be a determining factor as to whether you get in or not, but next year it will.

Did you take it yet? Was it at LaSalle? What was your score?

So I'm a guinea pig? Nice, LOL. It's funny because on their website it doesn't say anything about the NLN--it says you have to take the NET...who knows hopefully I'll start this year and not have to worry about it...

I took it last Saturday and got an 88%. I hope I receive an acceptance letter, because I am so stressing over this whole thing. Especially, since LaSalle is the only school that I want to go to. I pray that you do well.

Yeah, that's my question...When did you get your letter? What was your NLN score? So Sorry, congratulations are definitely in order. I wish you well and I hope that I will be seeing you also!!!

Am taking NLN in September, is it like NET? What can i expect? How long is the exam?

Well I'm currently at CCP to get all my prereq. I have been accepted to LaSalle dual admissions program, but it's all so confusing. One I finish with my prereq I can start at LaSalle in the nursing program?

After you finish 60 credits of your prereqs you can start your nursing classes.
