  3. NCLEX in 3 days & I am beyond nervous!!

I'm so tempted to reschedule again but then, I feel as if I'll never be "ready".
  4. Do you find Kaplan Tree useful?

I feel the same way...I get overwhelmed with the content too! It's like my brain is completely fried lol.

  6. NCLEX in 3 days & I am beyond nervous!!

Yes, my lowest score was 30% (the select all that apply) and 80% (the priority-type questions). I've never been so nervous about a test ever. I didn't study as much for the NCLEX-PN. I studied for like a week.
  7. NCLEX in 3 days & I am beyond nervous!!

  8. University of Maryland Medical Center

    Congrats!!
  9. NCLEX-RN is not as bad as I thought

Great job!! What kind of study materials did you use?
  10. I'd have to agree w/ nursejami. It varies from hospital to hospital. So, I'd research the hospitals' website (or call if there's no info regarding this...) for when to apply as a new grad and what are the requirements...this applies to hospitals that...
  11. Got the good pop up!!

What all did you two use to study?
  12. Of course studying for NCLEX. I've picked up some shifts at work (PRN). Try not to stress myself over the NCLEX. Prepare for my new position. I would love to take a trip somewhere...
  13. Washington Hospital Center

I believe it's on their website...around $27. Did you apply for this upcoming cohort? If so, have you heard anything from them yet? I applied like a month ago and I haven't heard a thing from them.
  14. Jobs for New ADN Grad RN? Bleak outlook or glimmer of hope?

I've just been hired in the Baltimore area so you're not out of luck. You'll never know until you apply. If you already have your license then you probably have a bigger advantage than those who are currently graduating (& don't have their licens...
  15. A new grad numbers game... just curious!

Sorry I meant to reply... 1. How many places have you applied so far? About ten 2. How many new grad postings vs. regular postings? About 6-7 new grad postings and the rest were regular postings 3. How many have you heard from one way or the other? ...
  16. A new grad numbers game... just curious!

    1. How many places have you applied so far? 2. How many new grad postings vs. regular postings? 3. How many have you heard from one way or the other? 4. Any job offers yet?
  17. UMMC (Baltimore) New Grad Pay??

So do they email the offer letter or mail it to you?
  18. Howard county general fellowship program

I have not been contacted yet and understand how you feel about not calling...it's kinda frustrating. I guess we have no choice but to wait. Good luck!
  19. UMMC

So I have an interview there in a few weeks. Would anyone happen to know any info about the interviewing process at UMMC? I know that there's 2 interviews, one w/ the recruiter and the other w/ the nurse manager. Then, I'll have share time. Would any...
  20. When do MD hospitals post the new grad positions?

I've been wondering the same thing. I hope someone can shed some light on this. However, I will say that UMMC had a handful of positions posted that welcomes new graduates. Most of them seem to want someone with PCT or Sr. Practicum experience it tha...
  21. UMMC

Thank you. I really appreciate your response!
  22. It's your first test...chiiiillll :) I think majority of us have been there. What has helped me in the past w/ situations like this is: 1) Go ahead & cry &/or vent if you have to but as soon as you're done, 2) Get on the ball & figure out...
  23. Posting your Exam Grades on Facebook

I agree. I deleted my account like a month before I started the nursing program. I'm a huge procrastinator and having the urge to log on to FB wouldn't be a good combo. I'm a semester away from graduating and I don't miss FB at all. The drama, BS, an...
  24. Drama on my unit and it's only my 2nd day. WOW

I agree with Ashley, PICU RN. I've learned to stay away from the drama in nursing school and on the job. If you pay attention to people's attitudes and the way that they interact with others (or behind their backs), it'll give you an idea of who to b...
  25. Help :'(

I don't understand why you would be in a nursing program if you want to be doctor. My best advice to you is to achieve YOUR goals and dreams because no one can tell you how to live your life. Good luck!
