As I was hanging blood after checking it with an RN, after starting an IV for the blood with the correct gauge catheter, after cleaning and packing a dehissed surgical open heart chest wound, giving him meds earlier, the patients wife asked me what the difference between an LPN and an RN was. I said in my case, about 30 grand a year.

Wow! I love LTC, but 48 residents to pass meds, treatments and orders for??? Nope! I'd hate that also! I have 19 residents, LOVE IT!

Oh, my lord! Heat lamps shined on stage 3 decubs? Feeding with a 60cc syringe?? Clinitron beds, with the air and sand like granules inside? Those freakin nursing caps??? UGH. Dresses only, no pants. .

Are you sure its your job and not you? I've had a nursing job I hated, so much stress, my hair fell out. I still had a husband, friends, kids and hobbies. Left it and was happy. Not putting you down, lord knows Im provably a psychopath deep down, but talking to a therapist might help.

Are you serious? Is crawling under the desk a go also?
