I would have probably tried to see that pt. pretty quickly if I were triaging. However, 5 minutes is not really a long time....it takes that long (or longer) to get a pt. registered with the admission...
May I respectfully say that I fail to see the need to deceive in order to make a point? You stated "I have a patient"..... and then set up a scenario that seemed like a simple case of non compliance....
Not sure I can offer much feedback about these companies, but looking at your other posts, it seems that "Tenderwet" by Medline and "Bullke" from Medline's gauze line seem to be the way to

I hate to be contrary but am somewhat suspicious of this poster also. "RN" is in the nickname but this person is highly pro-medic in previous posts and has even made the above claim in another...
Penny, you did well. You knew something was amiss and you took action. Don't feel like you have to explain anything. Some people just like to poo-poo and
The old analogy "You can lead a horse to water......" comes to mind. And I couldn't imagine why the daughter "can't" get rid of the cats. I mean, I am an animal lover myself but come on.... when you...

While it is true that a lot of the patients we see for this problem are hygenically challenged and/or most likely meth users, we are seeing all walks of life... "Clean" people, too. I just think that...
hahaha... I sooo know what you mean. Lopressor 5mg IV is the worst...major skin lac waiting to happen. And the blister packs that the Demerol glass ampules come in... you have to have surgeon's hands...
Wow. That's kind of scary. I have worked a couple of places where we had Paramedic/techs that performed the basic skills that RN's did but were never solely assigned rooms! NOT trying to start a tired...
