I am so fortunate to have a great relationship with all of the physicians in my area. Working in HH, they really rely on and value our assessments and judgements. They've all gladly disclosed their cell phones (sometimes home phones) and tell us to call any time. It makes things so much easier when we work as a team.

Its not a matter of me not being able to write a paper. I have never had an issue with that. In research, I know that research questions are refined over and over again. So I guess I was just looking for a little bit of help in getting my question as concise as possible- not to have the paper written for me or anything like that. I live with 4 engineers, so they aren't a ton of help to use as a sounding board and get feedback from when it comes to nursing research. I have decided to go with the topic of horizontal violence and its effect on patient care.

A revision of my second topic has brought me to: Among Registered Nurses, how does horizontal/lateral violence in the workplace affect patient care?

Hi everyone, I'm new to posting to the forum, however I have been a member for a number of years. I come to you today with a bit of a predicament. Our assignment is to write a research proposal. I have already done an extensive literature review for my nursing research class and the question I used for that was: are adolescents receiving enough education regarding protection against as well as the transmission and treatment of HIV and AIDS? I could use the lit review as a basis for my research proposal, however it needs to be in PICOT format and I am having trouble wording it. Additionally, I am interested in and have conditionally come up with the following: What are the effects of lateral/horizontal violence in the workplace both on nurses and their patient care? I feel as though this could use some revision. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Heather
