Working on Expired License for 5 Weeks

I believe I have posted about this before. I had a coworker who "forgot" to renew their license for 4 years.. My employer had finally asked for her license renwel notice, and then was when it all came...
  2. Hmmm.. Ours does not do this yet. Some have shrink wrap on them, but I'll be honest - I would take it off. I wouldn't buy an expensive text like that without reviewing it

Do you have dreams about your job?

I have ridiculous dreams/nightmares/who-knows-what often. It isn't usually about work, but often involves my coworkers.. I have not yet had a dream about Allnurses

Job rejection reason - anyone ever had this happen?

Sounds like a mess of politics and busy-bodies. I know you are disappointed, but it doesn't sound like a healthy environment anyway. Keep looking with you head held
  5. There are many apps and books. I suggest going to your local bookstore like Barnes and Nobles and read through practice books. I think answering mock questions over and over will help refresh things...

    Question regarding resignation

Many will let you stay PRN or per diem IF you were a good employee AND they need the help. They do not HAVE to do

I'm a patient. Sorry to intrude.

If it is really bothering you say something about it. I doubt that nurse even remembers the comment at this point. Believe me there are things that are MUCH worse said to us

    PRN med surg travel?

I think it is worth it. People see things differently. If you can afford to not work, and have no interest in it, then stay at home. However, if you could use the $$$ or at least want to keep working,...

OMG - how much more bad can things get?

We are unaware of many of the horrors that others endure. One does not have to leave the U.S. to see starvation, abuse, neglect, and absolute misery. We still have racism, violence, and ignorance...

What is your strange bed story?

    Unusual treatments

I agree.. I always teased that everyone gets some.. sip for the baby and a few shots for me.. By the end we would all be oblivious to teething pain.. Luckily my young'n didn't go crazy with teething...

    Sex, Porn & Roto-Prone Beds.....

There has been quite a few lately that I shake my head while reading.. I'm not sure if it is trolling or just true fools. My husband often says I expect too much of people, like the fact that I expect...

What do you think is toughest shift

I think the 7-3 was the hardest. Between families, extra staff, and management, I was overwhelmed. 3-11 was tough with social events. I never worked the overnight shift in LTC. I know they were dumped...

    Is this a new trend?

I suppose I get the "idea" of eliminating briefs, but using scratchy towels is not the answer. How about having resonable staffing and absorbent pads? I suppose I don't have the answer, but I do know...

    I'm a sexless nurse

I guess you can just call me insensitive. I didn't know this was such a big deal since I have dealt with male genitalia and body orifices since the start of my career. I have never expected anyone to...

    Test results on hold

It means you have to wait because the "test results are on hold". It could mean a number of things. I know how tough it is to wait it out, but trust me we have it much easier now than back in the day....

    HELP A GUY OUT!!

I vote Tele. As I always say there is more to it than just the unit. Are these all at the same hospital? If not which has the best benefits, which is closer to home, which offers the best training,...

    I'm a sexless nurse

I have NEVER understood why males need a "chaperone" to do female care, but females do not when providing male care. I have a male OBGYN and I LOVE him and would pick him over any of the females we...

This week, I have learned..... (6/13)

Not something new exactly, just got reminded about a few things.. That the same amount of work can get done with or without certain people present. That my employer seems to LOVE terrible employees...
