  1. Experience and Degree

Hi, I have been an RN going on 4 years in June. I have 1 year experience at the bedside and the other 2 years in Utilization Review and the past 6 months as a work at home CM for a Managed Care company. On Friday, I landed a PT CM position at a local...
  2. LPN are we professional nurses or just RNs?

I was looking up a nursing license in New York state and realize they had 3 catagories of nurses, LPN, RN, and Professional RN nurse. A professional nurse is an RN with at least a BSN. The ANA states that the "entry level to professional nursing is a...
  3. Medical shows vs the real thing?

On the TV shows, the nurses are there for clean ups and to give the Dr's some "LOVE" after a hard days work. I loved an episode of House where the pts husband had the nurse watch his daughter.

  6. Do Nurses STILL want to marry Doctors?

I don't see anything wrong with wanting to marry someone with prestige and some $$. The Nurses of today seem to be the breadwinners if their families. That's not A good thing.
  7. Who's leaving nursing?

Started law school Aug 07. However, that was the plan all along. I got into nursing so I wouldn't be broke while in law school.
  8. RN's attitute toward the LPN

I agree with some of the posters here, It's not an "RN attitude", it's just a person with an attitude. I worked on a floor with both RNs and LPNs and we all worked very well together as a team.
  9. I really want a job in field case management! Help!

Congratulations!! I went into Case Management 9 months after becoming a nurse and have never looked back.
