    I always introduce myself..and explain that I will be their nurse for the night until 7 am. Guess a lot of folks don't do that anymore...they laugh when my pt calls and says " I need nurse Mandy...

    We have that policy too..which we take to mean during visiting hours..so we pretty much comply until after 9 pm..our super doesn't care as long as we do our job..I'd much rather staff be AWAKE reading...
