About NurseExorcist

NurseExorcist has 13 years experience as a BSN, RN.

In my former career I delivered sexual harassment training and supervisory/leadership skills training. As a nursing student I was harassed by a clinical instructor. As a nurse I have experienced harassment/abuse in every nursing job I have held from both co-workers and supervisors. The profession is desperately in need of an intervention. If you have a story of harassment, I would like to interview you (anonymously) for an intervention of my own. Please direct message me for information.

  9. I would strongly recommend taking the NCLEX AS SOON AS YOU CAN, wherever you are. The sooner you take it, the more likely you'll pass. If you don't pass, you won't be going anywhere to be a nurse....
  10. new grad rn- can't find a job

Same here! I graduated from my ADN program at 49, I am finishing up my BSN program next month at age 50, and still explaining to people, on a daily basis, why I can't find a job during this "nursing...
  11. Psychiatric nursing... do you really lose all your nursing skills?

Just to play devil's advocate... you might just fall in love with psych nursing and lose your interest in emergency care. Regardless, go for it, and as others have said, you can always look for a...
  12. Vanderbilt Nurse Residency 2014

I'm applying, also. It looks like a great program... as in opportunity of a lifetime. I have a 3.7 and have been volunteering at a clinic all year. I worked as a CNA for about 3 years. Does all...
