Long time since I've posted here! Where I work the computer system is having issues and we are unable to chart our regular visits. I was typing up a complete assessment and pasting it into a prn visit narrative section. My supervisor is telling me...
Thanks everyone for confirming what I suspected. This is a small, newer company and this is not the only issue I've worried about. I emailed the supervisor about the legalities of this and she ended up saying we can type a narrative but when the co...

I am also scheduled to begin Chamberlain's FNP program Mar 3. They were still finalizing everything Friday so I have no log in info or anything really! I wanted to start familiarizing myself with the website this weekend. Oh well, I'll just roll w...
First test I did fine. Now the 2nd and 3rd I've missed 8 out of 15 and 7 out of 15. I know the material pretty well and I study quite a bit, but it's the critical thinking, I guess, that I'm lacking. Some of the questions I can see where I didn't ...

Thought I'd pop in you all know that I graduated from Carrington in Nov, passed the nclex with no problem, and got 12 interviews during the 4 months I was on the job hunt. I ended up being hired at a local hospital - one where I had no connections a...

I would take the time to prepare thoroughly rather than "if it's meant to be" approach. If you search on allnurses (or google) you can find the mayo clinic or Johns hopkins interview guide. It will tell you possible scenario questions. Write your ...
Totally understand your frustration. Have you thought about sending your resume to local doctor's offices as a last resort? If you could get hired, it would be a paycheck and possibly networking opportunities.
First, is this something you had to disclose? I guess I'm asking, does the board know about it? If so, did you send a letter in with your application explaining it? If you did, I would just call them and ask the status.
Plenty of people who are "hardworking and have the right outlook" are out of work right now. Plenty of unemployed new grads are doing ALL the right things. The problem is the economic climate we find outselves in. Unfortunately, a good outlook and ha...
Hoozdo - Don't you know Obama is the cause of everything bad that happens in this country, even before his presidency lol Interesting where the real death panels are coming from now...
What about recovery facilities? Seems like you would be a good example to others trying to recover. Another option you may want to look at since employers can be rather unforgiving - opening up your own group home for people recoverying from alcoho...
