Even tho I dont start school until '08 Im trying to do my own researches on topic that I know ill have in the program LIKE Im reviewing the basics Of 1gram equaling 1000mg 1mg = 1000mcg ETC... !! Im also looking at some of the math problems when you have to figure out how to get the dosage amount and its a formula thats always used Cross multiplying and I jus can figure out where to place the number which side... Im hoping after a few problems I will get the hang of it and it will stick this stuff Hope u have a good day!!

  4. true.. that makes me feel less tensed about the whole experience ill admit im a slow learner.. so i will have to use my own study patterns so it all makes sense to me i have faith that i will make it once i get into nursing school!! thank you;)
  5. i havent even gotten into school as yet, but i just wanted to wish you the best in your studies keep telling yourself that you can do it... im sorta in the same boat as you b/c im nervous and have anxiety etc.. lol only difference i havent even gotten into a school as yet... and im very doubtful but when i feel the negative thoughts or feeling like i cant do i try to remember to keep on pushing through with anything including the program... hopefully we both will be success stories.. stay focused and let nothing stop you! ;)
  6. I'm new to this forum but I love it here very informative and its been many times I've stopped nurses in my neighborhood to ask these question that I'm seeing here... I'm very passionate about becoming an LPN but at the same extremely nervous... I got my GED and I was attending college back in '02 and had to leave but I got as far as biology and studied hard and got a D Truth is I've had people trying to discourage me but wont let that stop my process right now. I'm trying to enter the program in the city but 1st have to pass the cnet until then I ordered a pamphlet to study... and since I have the time I will be looking into getting the med terminology book also math for nurses... I suck really bad in writing and math I'm extremely nervous about the program... I know I can do it. I have to!!!!! Is there alot of writing like essays in the LPN program?? Thanks alot to any and everyone who replies.... have a great weekend
