For us no matter if it is witnessed or not neuro checks are done Q15 X 4, then Q hour X 4 then Q 4 hour X4. and most of the nurses have 45+ residents to take care of.
The same at my place, except the LPN's can't start IV's unless a RN is right there, and they cant do TPN for some reason otherwise we work right next to each other doing the same stuff

I just graduated and was told by many managers, recruiters that they systems are not hiring until you pass the nclex. I have applied for aprox. 100 jobs and have not gotten one call yet. I'm hoping as soon as I get my license it will be different

The stuff you need to know for the test is on the website you will be given. It is only off that information. I dont remember exactly what was on it. but if you think you need to brush up on stuff from the class it can only help in the long run.
It is in class, they give you the website to study off of. it is only on pharmacology stuff. the math test is totally a different thing. I want to say they are both 20 questions. no IV stuff until 155.
Congratulations....keep up with the reading. don't get overwhelmed and take it one task at a time. and keep your eye on the prize. it may seem like it will take forever to be done but you will be planning for graduation before you know it.

Depends on the school you want to take them at. I have had no problem getting into the HFCC online classes. I make sure I register on the day they open and have gotten all the ones I have wanted.
I was put on the list dec 07 started winter 09 I got my letter 10 months after getting on the list. my class joined the one that started over the summer so I had my summer off last year, but will be done in august this year.
as far as i know it is done by when you get on the list. I love it there. if your classes are all done you may get in for winter before someone that doesnt have all the classes done but that had got on it before you , since the winter is an accelerat...
while waiting I took med. term I also took patho. both these have given me a good base to work from and I have refered back to my notes from these classes.
