  1. Yeah, I am thinking the OP is not a CRNA. Way too much lingo used by MD's. There is also many things said that is common on the SDN forums. Just calling it the way I see it.
  2. An additional three semesters I believe.
  3. Correct. There are many CRNA's practicing that do not have a masters degree with their anesthesia certification. There are a few programs in development that can provide you with more information.
  4. It all depends on where you are going? What kind of practices are you going to?
  5. Quick question, was he an anesthesiologist or a CRNA?
  6. i took the boards in feb 2004. it's been a while...but i think i studied the valley review...nothing else... other than what was required for the comprehensive exams for school of course. i probably put in 8 weeks or so....(i didnt attend the valley review, too expensive... i just coppied the study guide from someone). the valley review specifically prepped me for the board exam. 75 questions...in and out. keep in mind, the tougher the questions, the more likely you will pass.
  7. If you go to ODU you will get a great clinical experience. They will teach you to practice independently. I have heard (though not experienced) of clinical sites that want the CRNA's to be a trained monkey....never really thinking, just doing. I had the time of my life there. ODU is a great school. I cant speak for U of N. Fl.
