   I am a former HCA employee & if you want to work in the HCA system you WILL need to go thru them to work but I was not happy either. I believe I made $10 per hour for the orientation time. AAS ---is ---owned by the HCA system.

   I am an agency nurse working at HCA hospitals. In the Houston area AAS is paying $37 or $ 38 per hour for their nurses. That is with or without a contract. This is in the critical care or tele area's. Atleast this is how I understand it.

    The HCA facillity I left had a 6 month rule. It had been 1 yr prior to that. I did go back for 1 shift & found that "some things never change!"

    Good luck. It may take time for you to become "known" & you may get cancelled the first few days but when the staff knows you then it all falls into place. Also make friends with your agencies bookers. Let them know what you will & won't do ....
