In CA, expect it to take 4-6 weeks unless you go and pay in person. Maybe things have changed since I received my license in 2009.

Personally, I would take it if you are currently unemployed. I don't think it would count as paid LVN experience, though.

I work in LTC. Yes, I've done this. I just toss them and don't think about it. You especially can't do anything with them since they are crushed. If you were to return them to the pharmacy, they would simply toss them as well.

Penelope, I doubt it but I suppose it may depend on the area you are in. Some are more youth-oriented. My facility hires people of all ages even if they are new grads. Shortly after I was hired they hired a 56 yo new grad.

understood, but what i'm saying is that they would have to hold a position for three weeks not two because it would take about a week to pack and move across the country. i can't see a potential employer in ca doing this unless i was made of gold.
