   Sherlee, Did you have any luck with Amy? I'm in a similar situation as Columbia still hasn't received my transcripts for my microbio class even though my school has sent them TWICE. It's been a frustrating process.

   Another good resource for maps and neighborhood info is the Not For Tourists website. You can download the entire NYC book via pdf. If the link doesn't work for some reason, just google "not for tourists".

   Hi Cozzy. This is a good idea. I'm not sure if you're aware but the SON department at Columbia is setting up Facebook accounts for everyone that puts down their $500 deposit.

   I'm fairly certain the $500 deposit is non-refundable. It's a lot of money to put down if you choose to go somewhere else. Good luck with your decision!
