I am an LPN from Florida. I made, on average, $70,000 per year as a home care nurse several years ago. I also worked 60-72 hours per week, so a lot of what I earned was OT pay. It's possible, I beleive you made that much and earned it all!

The cost of living here in central Florida is no longer low. The property taxes are very high and property insurance, when you can get it, it expensive. The salaries have not kept up with the increased cost of living, unfortunatlely.

Sorry, no offense meant. I was just trying to pointe out that this these phrases were well known all over the place, not just in that one hospital. I have been a nurse for 18 years and have lived North and South and you hear it all over.
