Loans! If you haven't yet, head down to the financial aid office of your school and ask what you need to do to get started. If you're lower income and/or have children, you may even qualify for grants.

It's possible. I have heard that peds positions are more difficult to get, though. They say most children are generally healthy (less demand) and most pediatric nurses stay put (more supply).

I'm just a student too, but I have relatives who are happy nurses and like their jobs. That doesn't mean you will. (or that you won't!) If I didn't enjoy nursing school, especially clinicals, I would QUIT.
