  1. Who's fault is it? Help Guys!

It sounds to me like your partner was a little too much "type A". She shouldn't have tried to lift the patient by herself (I mean, did she even ask you for help? And it seems like you didn't even have a chance to offer help before she jumped in ther...
  2. fundamentals...again! help please!!

vlsgirl makes a great point. I've seen RNs who are totally "booksmart", but are lousy nurses.. because from what I've seen, nursing isn't all about being booksmart (though that is part of it); a big part of nursing is plain old common sense and intu...

  4. RN school and tattoos?

I have lots of tats, some of which are on my arms, and my nose is pierced. At work (city ER) it's no big deal, a lot of staff have tats and nose piercings, but for clinicals, I have to take the nose stud out and wear a long sleeve tshirt under my sc...

I will be trying this myself very soon... I work full-time (midnites, 12hr shifts) at a hospital, have two little boys, and am going to be starting the ADN program next month... I'm nervous about it, but I have to work FT. At least I only have to wo...
  11. Disturbing to anyone else???? NEED HELP.

If you're going to work in healthcare, especially an ER like I do, you'd better get used to lots of "F-bombs" and more! Don't sweat the small stuff is what I always say :)
  12. MCC, OCC students, question....

I got the HESI study guide and found it to be very helpful - and worth the $25, because I got into the program (I start next month!) fyi - I had a 4.0gpa and a 92 on the HESI. Good luck :-)
  13. Microbiology at Macomb

I took Path Micro at Macomb CC last fall - I had X as my prof. He was a good instructor - tough, but fair. I got an A, no prob. I had friends who had Xfor their instructor and all I heard were horror stories about that guy - try to avoid him if you c...
