48-year-old divorced mom of four going for an accelerated BSN/RN, prior degrees in '90s ... Hoping to find others like me! ?.
I'm in Northern Massachusetts right now, not sure where I will move when the kids graduate next year, we shall see ..
Have a bachelor's in computer science and a bachelors in cognitive psychology that are old (1990s, in the days when dinosaurs yea did roam the Earth). Still, hopefully will let me get into an accelerated program as I don't have extra years to throw around LOL.
I was isolated before the pandemic for marriage, divorce, reasons and raising triplets, and developing slowly a real severe anxiety disorder - then come pandemic and really isolated now! But took 4 years to get over the fallout of marriage and I'm finally ready to dive in, assuming a program will accept me.
However I'm very alone except for the kids and without a supportive family or any real contact with the friends I had in my 70 year ago youth... so would love to meet people in the area or online as well for a community. ??
Honestly really need a community, isolation is not good for my brain, I'm awkward but I'm really funny once I feel comfortable with people.
I am a caregiver type by nature and then by life events - looking for good friends would be a wonderful outcome as well. Wish I could have done this 10 years ago but moving forward and hoping I'm not the only one like me out there - I doubt I am. ?
