Hi! Im a new graduate who is about to go on an interview for the mother/baby or postpartum hospital unit! I was wondering if any nurses could give me advice or sample questions that may be asked! I am very interested in womans health and would love to get this position, but it has been a long time since I interviewed for anything so I'm a bit nervous! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! ?

Hi! So pharmacology is technically not a distinct class in the nursing program at QCC. You will learn about meds during your time there each semester, but it is normally taken at the school you go to for your BSN.

I believe @Medsurgbst might know officially but I think that we take one course per semester with no Summer courses. So next semester we would be taking NU 101. Then in the Spring NU 102. Have you heard back yet?!

Awe man, I hope the wait isn’t that long. I work full time and I have to plan telling my boss I need to drop in hours. It’ll take them awhile to find my replacement so I wanted to give them as much notice as I could. Either way I’m still excited to hear back. Thanks for the info!!

I might be wrong but I think they look at both regular GPA and the GPA for the classes that are required. So you probably still have a shot! This waiting is killing me though! Hopefully we all get in ??

Yeah I haven’t heard anything yet either. They had contacted me on Monday about my status in taking BI 311 in the Summer and I was able to get in. They also said after grades were posted we would find out. I’m thinking now that maybe we’ll hear something on Tuesday? I’m not too sure though. ?

Oh man I thought today was the last day for grades too. Looks like another day of waiting for all of us! If I hear back sooner I'll let you guy know. Good luck to everyone!
