Hi all,
not sure if I’m in the right section. I am a home care nurse and the agency I work for is ridiculously understaffed. I have had up to 18 patients in one night once. The on-call nurse will think nothing of letting me know in the middle of my route that she added one, two or three SOC without even asking me while I already have anywhere from 12-14. I’m going to start telling her no. I know it is not considered patient abandonment if these patients are not already assigned to my route, but If I am the only nurse in the area-would it be bad to tell them to ask someone else ?
