  1. Please read my replies.
  2. This is your school with BON-CA.
  3. The state of CA-BON approved your school to operate LA College of Nursing and Allied Health Read what's an ACEN. Read more about accreditation. Take time to read this, please. Your NSG school is ACEN accredited!
  4. You can always look up the BON of CA. I checked your school and its accreditation. It's not a problem. It's ACEN accredited. If you're looking specifically for CCNE accreditation then don't go to school with ACEN.
  5. One time, I was upset that I resulted telling a person, "We don't have a vending machine where I can get a nurse urgently. I don't like it that you aren't getting the best care. I have to spread my time. I am sorry that you're in this mess." We were short staff in nurses and CNAs. At the end of my shift, the patient apologized to me for being impatient. I reiterated that she didn't have any fault.
  6. So far, I haven't heard anything like this. Don't jinx me. I just hope I will continue to be on the floor. ?
  7. That's what they said. Can they prove it in courts?
  8. I've never gone to school where the grades were hidden from the students, not even in the backward and the most corrupt country.
  9. It can happen. I hope that you will find your comfort.
  10. The students don't just get dismissed easily from the program. If they were removed from the program for the slightest problem, the room would be empty.
  11. Many patients were/are abused. Did you think about them that they'll probably trigger your fears?
  12. If they ask about the reasons for your dismissal, you should tell the truth. I didn't experience it. I let the other one go and focus on this one next to my home.
  13. I wouldn't volunteer it. Nursing is a small world. Be nice and fair next time. Nothing to be ashamed of being truthful and honest but being an a$$.
  14. Thank you so much for sharing this. I think that I'll fit better in something like this field.
  15. I'm FT employed and in the nursing program. While I was waiting to be accepted, I took some classes at the upper level and worked. Enjoy your school and time. It will come. When you're in, you'll miss your idle time. ? Good luck to you all those who are waiting to apply.
  16. It was a long battle, but I came out alright. I do avoid girls who are mean. I don't want another catfight.
  17. What I know at an early age, some people are sadistic. Got some girls made fun of me for being motherless who continued to bully me in high school. They became physical with me. It was a secluded area where they waited for me. We had catfights.
  18. Case managers are not always with patients or clients. I shadowed a case manager in a hospital for 10 hours. It was complex for me.
  19. If the instructor resists your request, email your program director.
  20. As a CNA, it has been a problem that I take time to shower/bath the residents or patients. Maybe I have a slight OCD, but there's no indication of it except I ensure a resident or patient is squeaky clean. I do chart the V/S and report to a nurse when something needed to be done stat. It's almost impossible to chart for 25-35 residents each day and perform a quality of care. I don't understand why the charting is complicated or wasting time. For example, the contracted resident/pt, who is completely unable to move without an assist, still has to go through "How pt walk in the unit?" "How does the pt transfer from/to bed or wheelchair?" They have to change some questions that are irrelevant to the person. That's why there's called logic. Some of the platforms are stupid. That makes me hate to think. I've been making a list of things that need to improve in the EHR that the CNAs are utilizing. I'll see how many people want to murder me.
  21. Don't know if there's one in your areas.
