TWU FALL 2022 NIGHTS & WEEKEND NURSING
Hi, TVCC student here. Unfortunately TVCC does not have a NW program. The program is set in a way where you come Mondays for exams only, Tuesdays for lecture (either 8 to 12 or 1 to 5 depending on the semester), and Wednesdays/Thursdays/Fridays are reserved for clinicals (only one of those days, not all three).

TVCC Fall 2021
A flipped program is where you have reading/video lectures prior to coming class, and instead of a traditional lecture, you'll be participating in activities pertaining to the concept of that week. Usually those activities are case studies where you will go over it in that lecture period together with the professor. I am personally not a big fan of the flipped program at TVCC, there are some professors that are absolutely great at walking through the case study while going over the concept, and some are not. Hi! I am unsure how many were actually accepted in the very beginning but our class started out with 145 students.

TVCC Fall 2021
How did everybody feel about the program during orientation? I didn't know the program was flipped. I'm unsure now, I left another nursing program for this exact reason.

TVCC Fall 2021
They sent out emails today! Did you not get any?

TVCC Fall 2021
I wouldn't think that! They had issues with my email in the very beginning, somebody switched a letter in my email despite entering it correctly through the form. So, that could very well explain you not getting the email! But I also applied the day it opened, the email was dated before the applications were even closed.

There was an email sent out in December! Orientation is May 7th, and there are two other mandatory dates July 7th, and August 13th.

Former Nursing Student Returning?
Let's just make this short and simple. tl;dr In 2016 I was in a program in Texas that really wasn't the best, and failed two courses (barely, I needed a 75, I had a 73 ugh). Our policy had that you could only fail 3 before being kicked out, so I was able to retake but I chose to pursue a degree elsewhere. I got my bachelor's in another field, but I am considering returning to Nursing. However, I don't want to return to my school's program. I would want to retake everything from my first semester of nursing including the classes I passed but I don't even know if that's an option for me. Will I be able to apply to another program or am I just basically stuck?
