Former Nursing Student Returning?

Published

Let's just make this short and simple.

tl;dr In 2016 I was in a program in Texas that really wasn't the best, and failed two courses (barely, I needed a 75, I had a 73 ugh). Our policy had that you could only fail 3 before being kicked out, so I was able to retake but I chose to pursue a degree elsewhere.

I got my bachelor's in another field, but I am considering returning to Nursing. However, I don't want to return to my school's program. I would want to retake everything from my first semester of nursing including the classes I passed but I don't even know if that's an option for me. Will I be able to apply to another program or am I just basically stuck?

Since it was in 2016 when you were last in the program, they might require you to retake some prerequisites before you can apply. I know my school has a max limit of 3 years for some. Another thing to consider is that each school may have different prerequisites. I would talk to a counselor at the school you wish to apply at.
