For those asking about hearing back — pretty sure nobody is going to hear back until after the interviews are over. Interviews are not over until May 19th, and last offers will be June 9th. Doubtful...
Hello. I wanted to create this forum for people who are applying to Cal State Los Angeles for Fall 2020. This is a place where we can discuss and compare statistics between us, as well as ask...
Hello. I wanted to create this forum for people who are applying to Cal State Long Beach for Fall 2020. This is a place where we can compare and discuss statistics between us, as well as ask questions...
Hi all
For those asking, I got a rejection letter — the same day, I emailed the nursing department (sorry allnurses does not allow me to say names because the comment gets filtered).
The...
I don’t believe cal state LA does a waitlist. I think they just deny you and then if enough people deny the spot, they offer admission later.
I believe this is why many who did an official...
So Cal state LA used to have a criteria, but as of 2 years ago (the cohort ahead of me), they basically told the applicants that there was no solid criteria. However, they may have changed that now so...
I know it’s hard to get excited when you haven’t gotten the official admission letter yet, I get that. But know if your portal is a green circle and says “Admitted,” and nursing was the only...
Hi! From personal experience, I applied, got accepted, but then decided not to go thru with it. They were asking for way too much stuff and I wasn’t willing to do both honors college and nursing...
Yes, definitely appeal or at least email. I simply emailed, and It worked for me. I had crazy stats tho so I thought it was a mistake ?. Never hurts to try either way. Hopefully you just get in and...
You’re welcome!! Just didn’t want you guys to be anxiously waiting when the decisions won’t be emailed for another 1-2 weeks anyways! Might as well relax until then ?
First semester was not...
Last year, decisions came out March 12th. The year before that decisions come out around March 15th. — I’m sure the decisions will come out around this time. Good luck to you
You know what is funny, I think it changed because I SWEAR last year it said English, etc. but it’s possible they changed that rule! Yes, that person DID get in. Another funny fact... I’m at cal...
I found it here in the FAQ’s: https://www.csulb.edu/college-of-health-human-services/school-of-nursing/undergraduate-programs/undergraduate-BSN-faq-and
I also attached a screen shot in case you...
I forgot where it says it since I applied back in December 2019 LOL. But I do remember all pre-reqs expire after 5 years, and all regular classes expire after 10 years. Unless they changed
All of the schools you mentioned are great. At the end of the day, if you go to any of the CSU’s, you’re going to have a BSN and not much debt in comparison to other schools. Apply to all of them...
Hi I’m sorry I just read this now!! Being honest, living in Southern California, I did not want to move. I also did not want to be in a lot of debt. I’m 27 and live on my own, so no support from...
I don’t think so because I don’t think they notify you if you are on the waitlist. I believe they just tell you that you are accepted later than everybody else I believe, but I’m not 100%
Being honest, I’m not sure how they can even track that. They said you could only apply one time last year as well.... but someone in my cohort applied twice and got in so
I’m no expert, but many of the nurses in my clinicals went to west coast university, or have ADN degrees, so I already feel like people with BSN from a CSU is ahead of the game. But I feel you on...
