NVCC Spring 2020
I would take the hybrid. I think I was In her hybrid class. I had class every Wednesday. Most of the work was online. She has slides shown in class that I printed. So make sure you load your NoVA card with money. All the homework was online and exams/quizzes were in person. She is always available to help youunderstand the work. She also teaches the 400 level at George Mason. She has a strict policy on absences and being late. You basically get attendance points deducted. I earned and A in both 141/142. 142 is by far the hardest. My class formed study groups and even reserved library rooms with anatomy mannequins before test. It was a great class and I enjoyed. I took class at the Woodbridge campus. Good luck.

MEC made a thread for Fall 2020. Good luck for everyone applying. ❤️

MEC doesn’t do anything with that, last year just made groups on their own. Or just network with people when you get in class. Everyone will have different classes depending on class times.

I dont know but I can make one later. I know there is usually one for every cohort from past threads. Not sure how to get everyone vetted since THIS is a public forum. Maybe put questions regarding something from the email to get approval? What do you think? Let me know and after I make it I’ll post the link.

Please don't give up. This was my third time trying. I know what you are feeling but you can press forward. If you have the classes then focus wholeheartedly on the TEAS. Start studying now. Reading was my struggle but I used so many resources. I used the resources from the college websites. I found this out from the tutor on the MEC campus. The lady that runs the center is on the 1st floor in the MEC building. (First hallway to the right when entering the building). You have to call and make an appt. She helped me a lot. I also had major test anxiety so I had to work on that as well. For english I used a website called grammerbook.com. I did those quizzes non stop. I also watched tons of youtube videos. Science was tough so know the anatomy but also the physiology( how things work). I think bulk points on the TEAS comes from those scientific reasoning questions. So know them like the back of your hand. I sub teach for elementary and nothing stuck until I had to review the SOL prep for 5th graders lol. So weird. So I then researched dependent and independent variables. For math, I used Brandon Craft on youtube also the mathtech channel. Its a guy with an Australian accent. He helped me so much with learning how to figure out fractions quickly without a bunch of steps. I naturally love math. So don't give up. Give yourself 24 hours to feel those feelings and then get determined. Good Luck. My mother in law works in a hospital and knew a nurse that failed the NCLEX 8 times and passed on her 9th attempt. You can do this!

I cant Imagine doing courses in 7 weeks while studying for nursing. Not sure if that’s a good fit for me. The advisor said I could try it out and withdraw if need be. I took a med term course in 8 weeks and it was tough because of weekly exams.
