  1. I’m super curious as to how many people applied for the OR. And how they even narrowed it down out of 500 applicants. Good luck to everyone interviewing!
  2. For those of you who interviewed for the OR, how long were you in the hot seat for?
  3. I got an interview at 11:57 pm for perioperative. I applied on 8/6.
  4. I think it’s highly unlikely that no one in this thread would not be offered an interview. It seems more likely they’re backed up. *crossing fingers.*
  5. I'm curious about how accurate the deadlines are...but supposedly they are supposed to reach out within a few days after apps close. But according to you it took a week LOL. But realistically how is that possible with hundreds of apps LOL.
  6. Same. I applied late on Friday night and still nothing.
  7. For the cover letter, are you guys including bullet points? Also I wasn't sure if they wanted us to explain why we are choosing the particular specialty track but I'm assuming not or else they would have specified.
  8. Just declined my spot. Hope one of you gets it. And as for timing...everything works out in the end. I waited 10 years for an opportunity to do schooling again due to circumstances but finally got my chance. Good luck...
  9. I went on the 22nd. A very impressive program for sure.
  10. When do we find out about our financial aid/scholarship?
  11. I asked this awhile ago and I was told the schedule would be out in July. And we follow regular instruction, so good chance it starts on that Thursday.
  12. I am right there with you. I already accepted at a cheaper institution BUT Duke is my dream school. So I figured just visit it and see how I feel. I’ve read mixed reviews on Duke’s financial aid..they are either very generous or they give you nothing lol (they say middle class is screwed). Thank God the cost of living is cheap. Also, the general advice is that you should go cheaper on your BSN and spend more on your grad program (which makes sense). But easier said than done with a great school like Duke!
  13. Hopefully by the end of this week since it's supposed to be within 2 weeks of March 1st. I'm sure people want to know before making a decision to attend Duke Days or not...
  14. He told me it wasn't set in stone...I could possibly get more. But then again I'm getting the bare minimum. Honestly, I don't think anything is set in stone because it's an "estimate." Also, I think your EFC from your FAFSA will be the most important factor.

  16. I would contact Benjamin first, he replies pretty quickly to his emails. I think it’s worth spending the money on it, you might even decide it’s not the right fit. Or you might even apply to it in the future for another program. Plus NC is gorgeous!
  17. You got even more in scholarship than I did lol. BTW, I’m not sure if you’re aware but the estimate given doesn’t even include summer session. The estimate is only for a 9-month academic period. I was told it was about $4600 or so, and of course factor in books, parking and living expenses.
  18. I had the same question because I’m in this situation now. I’m also afraid of burning bridges incase I apply to their program in the future. Sounds silly but it does cross my mind!
  19. Has anyone received their financial aid package yet?
  20. BTW, I don't know if this helps but I was told by Financial Aid that the range for scholarships per semester is 2,500-15,000.
  21. Does anyone know when the last semester would be for the program? And if the scholarship they give you is for all 4 semesters (or you would have to reapply?) I am thinking about attending Duke Days as well just to explore further options....
  22. Congrats! When did you hear from them? I am still waiting on them...and YES their program cost is so much cheaper than Duke. No brainer for sure.
  23. Yes, I actually really wanted to apply there but didn't want to pay for another expensive class to take their genetics requirement! I spoke to a clinical researcher recently who works a lot on their campus and he said it is a good program. Not to mention, there is a Portland campus (affordable cost of living)! I don't know their ranking for an accelerated bachelors but consider their grad school ranking. ? https://www.ohsu.edu/xd/education/schools/school-of-nursing/about/news-events/2018-us-news-rankings.cfm
