  1. I got a call today but not from anyone specific to the nursing program. Academic advisor just calling to ensure the semester is going well. I too am hoping to hear by the end of the week the orientation specifics.
  2. I did not get an email. I finally emailed my program rep today who just said it would be online(no details) and that class will start as scheduled but will possibly be online they will confirm during orientation.
  3. @TNurse2020 I sent you a direct msg ?
  4. So weird I wonder what they’re working on with the Nutrition class?? I already registered for it time isn’t conflicting anymore. I wonder why we all keep getting different info. It will be on Thursday’s from 9-11. I will try create a facebook account after I do I will send you a direct msg here with my facebook name. Probably later tonight or tomorrow ?
  5. Hi! I am group C down the hill. Thank goodness! At least for the first 8 clinical weeks ☺️
  6. @zmi2g020 goodness I don’t know ??‍♀️
  7. @DiscGolfNursethanks! Do you have any advice or words of wisdom you’d like to share with us newbies? ?
  8. I do I do! They are silly questions ? one they say we have to buy one pair of the Dove scrubs. Will we wear scrubs to class lecture and skills lab? Or do we only wear scrubs when we go to clinicals? Trying to decide if I should plan to buy more than one pair if I’m wearing them every day. I’m also curious on the supplies list is says nursing shoes $60 do they have a uniform pair of shoes we buy or is that a general amount to plan to spend. If we can buy our own do they have to be a specific material and or color? OK I think that’s it for my silly questions ??
  9. @zmi2g020 reach out to your program rep. You should have received the schedule including your clinical site and the list of classes to register for by now.
  10. @Coffeeloverxx oh awesome!! Thanks :D
  11. Has anyone received the list of classes yet from your program rep? I know we all got the email saying that info would come last week in anticipation of today being registration day. Just curious. I don't want to bug my rep if the email hasn't gone out yet to anyone, LOL! @SaraNurse12I was wondering if they would cancel since APU is now doing all online classes. Do you know how many people are in our cohort? My BLS class is next week; I'm wondering if that will get canceled too...same with my Drs appt.
  12. Hi @miggy2020 congrats on your acceptance. I look forward to meeting you. GL on finding an appt. I wonder if reaching out to previous cohorts would help in narrowing down which complexes to look at/avoid etc. I’m also wondering if the program reps would be any help in connecting students that are looking for roommates? See you soon!
  13. I have thought about it. But I own my home and am not crazy about the idea of selling it or renting it out. So I’m going to try to make it work. If it truly becomes too much for me to commute I’ll do what I have to do Ykwim? I think moving up there is the smartest idea if you don’t have anything keeping you from doing so. I have some friends up there so I have warned them I may be borrowing their couch from time to time. LOL.
  14. If you click back in this thread I think there was a convo about apartments. GL!! I’m envious! I live in LA county and will be commuting over an hour each way ? Hang in there and try and stay positive!!! ❤️
  15. Hi Violetta, I hope you get the call today!! Fwiw I didn’t get credentials to log in to the apu network until after I’d received the call. While on the call my program rep sent me an email welcoming me to the program and a second email with a link to create an apu acct and email. Once that was complete I checked application status and it showed that I was accepted into the nursing program.
  16. Hey everyone! I just got the call! I'm in! ??To all of you that you get the call very soon!!
  17. ohhhh gotcha! Yes, that does make sense. I guess I'll go back to anxiously waiting like everyone else, LOL
  18. ???????? Congrats! That is Fantastic news ? hopefully the rest of us hear soon too ?? P.S. how do you check application status on the apu.edu ? when I log in all I see is that my application is 100% complete with the check list showing below. Does that page change or am I not in the right place?
  19. Congrats! That’s so exciting ? I’m sure you’ll do fabulous on your exams! ?? Thank you for sharing your experience I wish you all the best ?
  20. I don’t even have an advisor ??‍♀️ I read that here at all nurses on previous cohorts threads. I don’t believe they interviewed anyone for spring 2020. We shall see ? GL on your app here and at LLU. I hope we all hear sooooooon FX!!
  21. I was told they stopped interviews because of biases and favoritism ??‍♀️ I hope we do hear first week of March ?? I only applied to APU. ??
  22. Hi Violetta! If you search there is another thread for those of us applying to summer 2020! I wish you all the best! We are all nervous and excited with you!
  23. I haven't. I was thinking we wouldn’t hear anything until March. ??For us all!
