    Another face mask post

We are allowing masks, I will continue to educate regarding their "usefulness" (uselessness). I am doubtful I will be able to change the minds of the parents.

    Biohazard Waste

How do you dispose of bloody tissues from a nosebleed? In the hospital and I have always disposed of them in the plastic lined trash bin. Of course, the teachers are freaking out. I have shared the following with them, but that doesn't seem to appease them. **Remember that under OSHA, you can generally dispose of “contaminated” waste (Items that are simply contaminated with small absorbed amounts of blood or OPIM) in regular plastic lined trash containers. Any other thoughts on how to help them understand that every person does not have Biohazard bags at home for their soiled bandages, pads, tampons and tissues, therefore, we don't have them at school?

    Monitors Used in Snoezelen room

First day back from break and I am sleeeepy! Need some recommendations on a baby monitor. We have a student that is required to have time alone in a Snoezelen room. I am looking for a monitor that has a high resolution, ability to scan the room, and possibly speak into the monitor. Any suggestions???

    Pregnancy

Both of my students were fairly far along before the school year started (due in Oct / Nov). Thanks for the input, it brought up a lot of points that I will work out ASAP. Fingers crossed labor begins at home ABSOLUTELY!!! Students and Staff alike.

    Rules for next year

I am in a HS, so if a student "needs to rest" in my office (generally a parent request) they are absolutely NOT allowed to be on electronics of any kind.
