Hi everyone! I applied to both the ABSN (Portland) and ABSN to PNP/DNP program at OHSU for 2018. I am curious about other people who applied to this program and would love to hear stats, experiences, and etc!

I just got a call from OHSU today saying that they added 2 spots to the ABSN to PNP program and offered me a spot!! :) I already put my deposit in for the ABSN program at UPenn, but I think this will change things a bit!

@Jeb726 did you just get the email or did you get it around 11:30? I'm wondering if they have been gradually sending them out throughout the day or if they just did them all at once.

I feel like I asked them on the phone at one point if putting fall start vs summer start would affect my chances of getting in and they said no. So it sounds like they just pick the 64 they like and then try to match those people with their preferenc...

I think there are ~30 spots in the summer cohort and ~30 in the fall cohort so those all add up to be that total of 64!

Same! I assume they do them in waves since they said "by Tuesday".

You should definitely keep trying the main line throughout the day today. They answered me for the first time in weeks the day before yesterday. I'm so sorry for the frustration though. I don't think they have sent out all of the decision letters yet...

They have been horrible about answering until this week. They were out of the office though yesterday for the Super Bowl parade. Try calling the main number again today.

If you have the checklist but not the decision, try logging out and logging back in. I was on the phone and she fixed it but I had to do that to see the letter. But I officially got in yay! :)

I'm currently on the phone with FC and she is sorting it out! I think she realizes that it must be doing the same thing for everyone.

On the phone today they said it would be an email.

They answered my call today! At the end they told me that admissions decisions would come out gradually throughout this week (so not all in one day like I originally thought).

Yes! I literally had a heart attack in the middle of class because I thought it was the actual interview notification email.

Thank you for your response and congratulations! That is comforting to hear about them getting to the alternate list in years past. In my interview they mentioned wanting to add two more spots if they get the approval, did they mention that in yours?...

The representative said late February, but she wasn't 100% sure because she couldn't remember the dates listed on the website. So, I assume the ones on the website (early March) will be the actual interview dates.

I had an interview for the ABSN to PNP program the other day and the representative from the ABSN program said that interviews for that one would be in late Feb or early March.

@littlefeets Was it mostly like MMI kind of questions where they are hypothetical clinical situations and you have to say what you would do? Or is it more like personal ones about you?

Oh I thought on the phone she said it was a panel interview with just one applicant and 4 faculty members, am I mistaken? Also did you get a confirmation email yet? I have not.
