  1. Hi everyone, so I was so excited early this year when i started Nursing 1 at BMCC. I was dedicated, joined a study group, quit my job to concentrate on school, did well in the first two tests.......then....out of nowhere, my 2 kids got ill one after the other, I lost my Dad and my husband decided he wanted a divorce, he dropped the news one evening when i was busy studying for midterms. needless to say it was devastating , I passed midterm very narrowly and did poorly on the 3 exams that followed that one. I tried to be strong and still study despite all that was going on in my life, but I would be distracted and find myself crying when alone. I did not pass the class, got a C- instead of the required C, and the rule in CUNY schools is that once you fail fundamentals you are out of the program. I talked to my Mom and she is willing to help me with the kids and other stuff if I can find another program. so there is my question, which schools, Non-CUNY, would take me, and I would also like to hear from anyone who happen to have been in the same situation, what schools did you apply to after leaving a CUNY program? Did you go to a four-year school or went the LPN route? and can a LPN program at A CUNY school take me being that I failed at a CUNY school? I would like to hear from you all.

I got an email today from the advisor saying that she will email those who passed and are accepted and also email those who were not accepted but she will not contact those who failed.i think an email is better than a phone call.

There were 3 questions straight out of math 104,all about minutes and mL, No teaspoon, the rest are percentages, conversions, decimals, few algebra. math is the easiest on kaplan IMO. You use the calculator on the desktop. one person in my group was allowed to use the calculator she brought because the calculator on her desktops not working.

Hi, for science, cardiovascular systems, flow of blood through the heart, urinary system functions, aging, neurology, electrolyte, movement of carbon oxide and oxygen. most of it was A&P 2. Math was the easiest, don't go so deep, equations, conversions, proportions, just the basics. writing was bit challenging, Practice sentence placements, subject verb-agreement,puctuations. good luck!

Hi BMCC '19 hopefuls, I took the Kaplan this morning, I got 82% and my GPA is 3.8, this was my second time taking it. I hope i get into the program. Am just wondering if we will receive phone calls, letters or emails to know if we got in the program or not.

Congratulations to all of you! I am still doing my prerequisites and get encouraged just reading all this. Now that I really have to get straight A's in prerequisites, did any of you take A&P2 during Winter session? Is it doable considering The winter session is a month long.
